Blessings

I'm feeling so grateful tonight for so many things. My family, my health, my families health, and our ability to be with each other.

When I was growing up, my parents had some close friends with kids our same age. We did so much together. We had BBQ's, went on vacations, went swimming, and just hung out. I didn't have cousins close by in Salt Lake, and so these families were like my cousins and aunts and uncles. Since I got married and moved away, I haven't seen them much.

I just found out that the dad of one of the families has been diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma. It's the aggressive kind and he's going through chemo now. My heart just hurts for him, for his family, and for his kids that I thought of as cousins.

I have also met someone through blogging that needs our thoughts and prayers tonight. Whymommy is battling inflammatory breast cancer and she is in pain and in the hospital tonight. She is going into surgery tomorrow. Please pray for her and send her a message of comfort on her blog. The link is here: Toddler Planet

So, I'm feeling grateful. And sending thoughts and prayers to families that are hurting.

They're Coming

It's a good thing that at the end of this crazy time we will be in Australia. Papa Echo has left to work in Canada for the next three weeks. I leave at the end of the month for a two week/two reunion stint. (It was too late to get a refund when I realized we were leaving...) We have less than 6 weeks to do all that has to be done.

So, this video is how I feel until I take a deep breath and think of life down under...

they are coming to take me away

It's not for sure, for sure yet, but it looks like we will be going to Australia at the end of summer. Now off to do all the things on my 'to do' list.
